Testimonials
I have been wanting results for my weight loss for some years now, and I've tried pretty much everything that you can think of to get the results that I need. I started Personal Training with Vigour PT under 3 months ago, and I am so happy that I did make that decision.
I know it has been a hard journey and still have a big journey ahead of me, yet the way I am feeling after my training has certainly been reaping rewards. The scales are going down slowly but steadily, my clothes are getting very loose and I am already starting to throw my 'fat' clothes away! But most importantly my fitness levels have increased and I am already feeling much healthier and my children are benefiting from my positive life changes as well, by my food preparation and promoting more exercise time with our family time.
Mel has been fantastic with me in all levels of my training, pushed me to reach my potential and encouraged me to know I can do what I put my mind to...more than I would have imagined. She is supportive and always positive to keep going, even when we don't always have the best of weeks!
Overall I feel I am making good positive changes that I can be content in knowing I am looking after my physical being and treating it with much more respect than I have in the past. We shouldn't abuse our body, we need to treat it with respect and take care of it and it will take care of us!
Ange. Training since Febuary 2010.
I started training with VigourPT because I was in a bad stage in my life and needed something to get me through. In my time of training I have lost weight and toned up my body. These results have helped me feel better about myself and has given me the willpower to want to live a healthier lifestyle.
Mel has supported and encouraged me the whole way through and thanks to her tough love I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm very excited because I can now wear all my clothes that I grew out of when I put on all my weight and feel good wearing them.
Thanks Mel for all of your awesome support and tough love - it has given me a new strength to be a new healthier me :-)
If anyone is trying to lose weight or just wants to get fit then I highly recommend Mel at Vigour PT, she's all HEART.
Fiona. Training since March 2010. Has lost 6.7 kg in 10 weeks
After recent surgery to repair a broken leg and replace an existing hip prosthesis, I was aware of needing regular assistance to maintain the strength of my good leg and to build up upper body strength to assist my mobility on strollers and crutches.
A mutual friend introduced me to Mel of Vigour PT, who discussed my concerns, the outcomes I sought and who promptly set up a program of exercises to be conducted under her supervision, to set about achieving our agreed goals. Her approach had the flexibility to match and push my progress and to move me beyond my comfort zone.
This has achieved results beyond my expectations and yet the process has been fun, intensive and personal. While I have not yet achieved my goals, I recognize that they no longer represent the end game, but rather the next milestone on my road to good health. Thanks a lot Mel.

I have been training with Melanie from Vigour for the past two months and have seen amazing results not only in my body; in my strength and energy levels. I have done years of Personal Trainer before dreading going because they were not approachable or understanding it was all business get in and get out.
With Vigour especially Melanie I have experienced a very bubbly approachable well trained personal trainer with experience in all different workouts including the GTS (great for toning the body) and I look forward to each session as I know I am going to be pushed only to my limits and get a great different workout every time.
I would recommend anyone who is interested in improving there fitness and diet to give Vigour a try at the end of the day what have you got to lose.

How has your training changed your lifestyle?
I have become stronger, fitter and more balanced generally both physically and emotionally. Training is a challenge and it tests you on a number of levels, but in saying that it also gives you a great sense of achievement with every session. Not only are you gaining physical fitness and benefits, but you are also refreshing your mind and emotions and feeling good about yourself and what you have achieved each time. This has a flow on effect to the rest of your life both physically and emotionally. Also, you start taking more notice of your diet, both because you are toning up and also to fuel properly for sessions. This gives you a direction and an 'aim' for your diet and nutritional approach to your lifestyle that is not so much based on 'losing weight' as much as 'eating smart' as an indirect result of the PT program.
What do you love most about your training?
Completing the session!!! ...seriously though, probably the best part for me is the fact that someone else does the thinking about the session plans, the balance of exercises and the holistic approach to my training. Also that you have company throughout the session with someone who is genuinely invested in insuring that you are receiving the maximum benefit from your efforts and that you enjoy the sessions as well....and that it fits around everything else in life, timing wise.
What advice would you give to others?
Give it a go...The hardest part about exercising or starting an exercise or weight loss program is the beginning when you are trying to learn how to exercise and also stick with it on the bad days. With a PT you are provided with a motivator - who adjusts to your needs and personality - who will also train and teach you to exercise. Once you have learnt this skill and you start to see some results in your changing body, you will be hooked and you will find that it gets easier from there. PT is also perfect for busy people who simply want a good solid and challenging workout, or a gentle routine, fitted into a busy lifestyle with someone else doing all the planning.
